Sports Report 8/2

8/1/08
Sup yall, you already know its time to see what went down in sports on Friday, 8/1/08…Of course on the last day of July we had a pretty big day when it comes to the baseball trades. Today, there isn’t quite as much going on, but there is a little bit…

BASEBALL
After a big day yesterday in baseball, this wasn’t as big unless you consider BASEBALL games a big deal…lol…We got the debut of Manny Ramirez as a Dodger…He was 2-4 in his first game in LA as the Dodgers lost to Arizona 2-1 to drop to 3 games behind Arizona in the NL West. Ken Griffey Jr. made his debut for the White Sox in a 4-2 win over Kansas City. Griffey was 2-3 with a run and 2 runs batted in. It was a great start for Griffey with my White Sox. Another debut was Boston’s Jason Bay, who was part of the Manny deal…He was 1-3 with 2 runs scored in a 2-1 win over Oakland. The rest of the scores from Friday are… Pittsburgh 3 Cubs 0, Angels 1 Yankees 0, Colorado 5 Florida 2, Tampa Bay 5 Detroit 2, Milwaukee 9 Atlanta 0, Texas 9 Toronto 8, Washington 5 Cincinnati 2, Houston 7 Mets 3, Minnesota 4 Cleveland 1, Baltimore 10 Seattle 5, St. Louis 6 Philadelphia 3, and San Francisco 3 San Diego 2.

BASKETBALL
Apparently, new Houston Rockets small forward, Ron Artest has spoken to Yao Ming on the phone and settled their original differences about the previous brawl four years ago. On Friday, in Olympic exhibition ball, The USA team defeated Lithuania 120-84. Dwayne Wade led the way with 19 points. Not mentioned in yesterday’s blog was Thursday’s 114-82 victory over Turkey. Lebron James led the way there with 20 points. I have to admit that it does look like the USA is finally gonna get their shit together and win some Olympic gold when it comes to basketball. They need to KEEP doin it like this if they EVER want any mention in the same sentence as “dream team”

FOOTBALL
Brett Favre is apparently considering the Packers offer of $20,000,000 over 10 years to stay retired…I WOULD TOO…lol. Also, during training camp, Carolina Panthers star receiver Steve Smith hit teammate, Ken Lucas, and then just went home…that’s funny shit!

PRO WRESTLING
Friday Night Smaccdown
8/1/08-Hershey, PA
1. MVP def. Jimmy Wang Yang (after match, Jeff Hardy told MVP to never speak on his personal life again and then gave him the twist of fate)
2. Mr. Kennedy def. Shelton Benjamin
3. Brian Kendrick def. Stevie Richards
4. The Great Khali def. Jeff Hardy (MVP interfered)
5. Maria def. Victoria
6. Big Show def. Domino
7. The Cutting Edge w/ Edge and Mick Foley: Edge asked Foley for his help for the upcoming hell in a cell match with the undertaker. Foley refused and Edge attacked him.
8. BONUS MATCH AFTER SHOW: Big Show def. Edge via Countout!

My thoughts: Smaccdown didn’t really perform well tonight. I know some of yall wanna know how I got the BONUS MATCH in this report…well…Im an internet mutha fucca, so I GOT ALL THA GOODS. LoL. I still believe that RAW is the best of the two shows. I just thought that with Triple H and JR going to smaccdown that it would be better than this. ITS NOT. NO MAIN EVENT? Was the Big Show vs Domino the main event? Remember…Big Show vs Edge was NOT on TV!!! So, what the fucc were they thinking? Dumb asses.
